New York City is a beautiful place during the holidays! Some businesses get started in November (sometimes in October?!). While I don’t like skimming over Halloween and Thanksgiving, there is a part of me that gets giddy over twinkling lights. It’s so fun to take friends on a tour of the Fifth Avenue holiday windows, see the Greenwich Village decorated in red velvet bows, and breathe in the fresh evergreen wreaths on all the doors.  It wasn’t cold enough to inspire a white Christmas but I enjoyed the rainy days by escaping to Café Lalo in the Upper West Side or enjoying warm croissants at home. Even though I am not a fan of two foot tall snow drifts, I can’t wait to see the winter wonderland coming in January.
