Happy (belated) Independence Day!

This year, I had the opportunity to view the Macy’s fireworks show from Pier 57, a new retail destination in development at the Meatpacking District. This was my first attempt at fireworks photography with long exposures. Although the images turned out beautifully, it still doesn’t compare to experiencing the awesome display. I remember watching the shows on the TV as a kid, imagining what they would be like in person…and now here I am — lucky and blessed to be living in New York City and experiencing them first hand! I am incredibly thankful to be given such a great opportunity.

No matter where you were – whether it was at a cookout, at your local festivities, or somewhere in NYC – I hope you had a great time enjoying the birth of our nation. Happy Birthday, America!
